Jasmine from Overton Hill came up with the idea to make and sell her own models after asking for a 3D printer last Christmas, with the intention of raising money for her trip.
The Test Valley School pupil is part of Vox Fresh, a local singing group for 4-18 year-olds which was started 4 years ago by singing teacher Kat Penn.
This year, Jasmine’s vocal group have the chance to take part in a performance trip and sing in Toronto, Canada, and Jasmine is seeking to raise £2,000.
At Carpark Fest on Sunday 30th August, Jasmine will be joining Sarah from ‘Vita Nova’, Gaynor from ‘The Village Refillery’ and Michelle from ‘The Haven’ who will be exhibiting their wares to visitors to the ‘mini-parody’ event of ‘Car-Fest’.
In an impressive effort, Jasmine – who wants to study to be a Marine Biologist - has recently been selling her 3D products at Overton Market, the Overton Music Festival and the Scarecrow Festival.
Her models include glow-in-the-dark Geckos, Butterflies and other fidget toys, aimed at younger people.
Carpark-Fest is a free day-long event at The Red Lion, starting at midday and featuring live music from acts such as Lani Clayton, Jake Ward and Funkline. The whole event is raising money for Overton Radio and Test Valley Men’s Shed.
